Israeli submarine technology set to green the trucking industry

Game-changing technology developed by Tevva uses the generator to recharge the truck’s electric battery while the vehicle is in motion, extending the driving range by 440 kilometers.


Submarines and electric battery-powered trucks might seem as odd a mix as water and oil, but the connection runs deep and Israeli. British-Israeli firm Tevva has figured out how to use electric battery technology originally developed to power submarines in its eco-friendly trucks.

Natalie Portman burns her mouth for the planet

She made a documentary about factory farms and told us about it while eating painfully spicy wings.


The world is burning, and so is Natalie Portman’s mouth. The Israeli-American actress recently went on “Hot Ones,” a talk show where the host and the celebrity eat incredibly spicy wings, to spread publicity for her new documentary: “Eating Animals.”

Lab-Grown Chicken Startup SuperMeat Could Disrupt The Entire Meat Market

If a piece of chicken was created in a lab, independently of an animal’s body, would it still taste like chicken? Yes, says SuperMeat, an Israeli producer of lab-grown poultry extracted from the stem cells of a live chicken. The Israeli food startup also says it would help provide solutions to some of the world’s biggest food issues like the high cost of production, pollution from animal emissions, animal cruelty, and world hunger.
