Friends of IDF (FIDF) - Dinner with Soldiers
Wednesday, October 25 at 6:30pm
As we usher in Israel's 70th Anniversary, we also celebrate its ultimate protector, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF). Please join us for a very special evening that will take you on a journey from Israel's inception 70 years ago, to the vibrant and thriving nation that it is today. Meet IDF soldiers in uniform and hear their compelling stories.
The strength of the IDF, which has been guarding the State of Israel since it declared independence in 1948, derives from the selfless determination and great capabilities of the young men and women who form it. At the tender age of 18, all Israelis are drafted into the IDF, and commit to uphold the difficult tasks of defending Israel’s borders and guaranteeing the safety of its people. The Israeli government is responsible for training IDF soldiers and providing them with the necessary tools for their service. FIDF is committed to providing these soldiers with love, support, and care in an effort to ease the burden they carry on behalf of the Jewish community worldwide. Their job is to look after Israel. Ours is to look after them. Sponsor dinner for a soldier. Show them your appreciation! $65
Cost: $65 per adult/soldier; $50 Grades 8 through 12. Advance registration required by October 16. You may make your reservations by clicking here, or you can print and return the form below with your check payable to Temple Sinai.
