Kutz Camp

Kutz Camp is a "teens only" camp designed for indivuduals looking for a challenging and exciting summer program that will enhance their skills in a specific area of interest such as social action or songleading. The recipe for Kutz is simple: just choose a Major, which you will sign up for when you are ready to register. Once you get to camp, you will be able to choose from session-long and week-long Minors and choose new Electives every day. Every teen in camp will participate in our Hagshama program, which includes a variety of leadership and life skills to enhance how you put your Major into action.

Mitzvah Corps @ Kutz - A Uniue Program for Teens with Autism Spectrum Disorder

Mitzvah Corps @ Kutz is a camp within camp immersion program. The mission of Mitzvah Corps at Kutz is to honor the unique characteristics of every camper and provide access to Jewish camping by creating individualized accommodations and modifications that allow each camper to succeed. The unique feature of the “camp within a camp” model is that motivated high school students serve as “chaverim” (the Hebrew word for friend). In our model, the chaverim serve as friendly-social support to help campers feel comfortable, and also help to facilitate positive social connections with other teens in the Kutz community. This allows campers to participate fully in the Jewish camp experience in a safe and nurturing environment that fosters positive self-esteem and social skill development. Mitzvah Corps Campers have the opportunity to choose from a variety of Kutz activities based on their interests and skills.
